Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid foundations for 43 projects worth Rs 8,941 crore, including a 124 MGD Okhla STP, 29 decentralized STPs, and expanded sewer networks aimed at cleaning the Yamuna in Delhi by May 2029. Projects launched in Najafgarh will expand wastewater treatment, sewer connections, and water treatment capacity benefiting lakhs across multiple Delhi localities.
