A diverse Swiss alliance of traders, roasters, cafés, government agencies, academia and NGOs launched the Swiss Sustainable Coffee Platform to improve sustainability across coffee supply chains. Backed by SECO and initial CHF8 million, the initiative aims to address deforestation rules, living incomes, climate resilience and human rights, and to coordinate private-public funding for projects in major producing countries.
