India is boosting domestic palm oil through an ₹11,040-crore National Mission, corporate partnerships, and price support to reduce imports. Farmers in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and the Northeast are expanding plantations, using intercropping during gestation. The program targets higher yields, processing capacity and long-term income stability, aiming to cut import dependence and raise crude palm oil output by 2030-31.
