A Ballia family court fined Bhojpuri actor and Bihar BJP MLC Pawan Singh Rs 3,000 for not attending a maintenance hearing filed by his wife, Jyoti Singh. His lawyer cited his mother's illness and submitted a medical certificate and mediation plea. The court fixed November 12 for the next hearing; Jyoti accused him of abusing influence.
