Türkiye expects to produce 97,000 to 100,000 tonnes of honey this year, Agriculture Minister İbrahim Yumaklı said, noting the country is second worldwide and striving for first. He spoke at a honey harvest in İnceyol, Sivas, and cited 9 million beehives, 90% of global pine honey output, 41 geographically indicated honey varieties including Zara, a beekeeping suitability map, venom collection rules, and fire safety advice.
