Airbnb data shows Indian domestic festive travel searches rose nearly 40% year-on-year, with Gen Z accounting for almost the same increase and favoring spiritual, cultural, coastal and city destinations. Varanasi, North and South Goa, Kolkata and Bengaluru led Gen Z interest. Families and demand for rural, mountain and lesser-known regions also drove notable search growth.
