Jain Irrigation Systems signed an agreement with Supercritical to sell up to 19,000 tonnes of biochar carbon removal credits from its Jalgaon, Maharashtra industrial biochar facility, covering 2026, 2027. Feedstock uses food-processing and farm residues; syngas replaces fossil fuels. Credits are verified via Puro.earth with an independent BeZero Carbon rating underway. Financial terms were not disclosed.
