Indian benchmark indices opened lower on Tuesday, with NIFTY50 down about 47 points on monthly expiry and SENSEX falling below 73,500. Heavyweights HDFC Bank, Sriram Finance, HCL Technologies and Infosys pressured markets. Reliance climbed nearly 1% ahead of the Jio Platforms IPO, which was subscribed 21.3 times, while smallcaps and midcaps posted gains.
