Microsoft is offering voluntary buyouts to about 60,000 employees, over a quarter of its workforce, to reduce costs and support large AI investments. Eligible staff across many divisions, excluding some units, can opt in; the program applies in Canada, India, the United Kingdom and the United States for certain levels.
